This is my first post. I'm new to the blogosphere but I think it will be a great way to chronicle my outdoor adventures. Since I was very young I've had the pleasure of traveling around the state of Texas with my father exploring every corner of this great state. These travels have spawned a great appreciation and love for the outdoors. Although most of my outdoor experiences have been in Texas, I've had the pleasure of traveling to several areas in Mexico, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Florida, Jamaica, Little Cayman, and a few other continental states. With these travels I've learned one thing about myself. I love the water! This includes a myriad of activities associated with water but one I've grown particularly fond of.... Kayaking!
A girlfriend of mine bought me a canoe during my second year in College and I used it every chance I could. I started by traversing the "unknown" waters of the Brazos River outside of College Station, TX but I've since acquired 2 single kayaks and a 2 man kayak. Since the kayaks are easier to move around I've used them in the ocean, bays, rivers, and lakes near by. In this blog I hope to write about my kayaking experiences and spark interest in one of the activities I've grown so fond of. Enjoy!
